- Payment data: Billing is processed by Stripe. We never store your full card details. Stripe may share subscription status and plan tier with us.
- Communications: If you email us, we retain that correspondence to respond and improve support.

- To create and manage your account and subscription.
- To generate AI book summaries on your behalf using the book information you provide.
- To send transactional emails (summary ready, account changes, billing receipts).
- To improve our service — analysing aggregated, anonymised usage patterns.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your summaries to train AI models.
🤝 Third-Party Services
We use the following trusted third parties who may process your data on our behalf:
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription management.
- OpenRouter and model providers — AI inference for summaries, translation, audio, and video. Book titles and related text may be sent as part of the prompt. We use API calls only; your data is not used to train their public models.
- Open Library (Internet Archive) — for fetching book cover images and metadata. No personal data is shared.
- Hosting provider — our infrastructure provider may store logs in accordance with their own privacy policies.

We use minimal, essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember your theme preference. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party trackers.
